Katie Chambers is a skilled family law attorney with an unmatched commitment to fiercely advocate for her clients.

Having been described as “detail-oriented,” “personable,” “responsive,” and “compassionate,” Katie excels at making clients feel at ease by keeping them informed on all developments in their case from start to finish.

Prior to joining Sobieski, Messer & Elledge, Katie primarily practiced in general civil litigation, which allowed her to gain extensive courtroom experience in a variety of legal matters.  This background and her natural confidence have contributed to Katie’s high level of comfortability in overseeing even the most challenging family law matters.  Additionally, Katie is experienced in alternative dispute resolution and remains vigilant in utilizing the most effective strategies to ultimately reach the best result for her clients.

Katie graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee in 2011. During college, Katie was involved in several extracurricular activities, including Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Dean’s Undergraduate Student Advisory Council, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society, and Lambda Phi Eta National Honor Society.  She also received several scholarships, including a four-year academic scholarship from The University of Tennessee.  She continued her legal studies at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she received her Doctor of Jurisprudence with a concentration in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution in 2014.  During law school, Katie participated in numerous leadership roles, including serving as a Law Student Ambassador, Law Student Adviser, and member of the Advocacy Clinic.

Katie is currently a member of the Knoxville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. During her spare time, Katie enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two young children, and their Corgi, Beau.
