Laura Wyrick’s family law practice includes divorce, paternity, adoption, custody, child support, domestic violence orders of protection, and dependency and neglect cases. Laura also serves as appointed counsel for minor children involved in family court proceedings, also known as a Guardian ad Litem. She is experienced in handling contested and complex courtroom proceedings. Laura works closely with her clients to develop and execute an effective litigation strategy based on the unique circumstances of each case to obtain the best possible results.
Laura joined Sobieski, Messer & Elledge in 2019. Prior to joining the firm, Laura practiced family law and civil litigation in northeast Indiana and was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. She graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with honors in 2010 and from the Valparaiso University School of Law cum laude in 2013. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association. In her free time, Laura enjoys boating, waterskiing and hiking with her husband and their dog.
